Today is World Refugee Day, as proclaimed by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). With 19 million people worldwide displaced by war, famine and other circumstances, this year's theme is 'hope'.

Hong Kong celebrity patron Michael Wong Man-tak has prepared a short public service ad, now airing on various networks, to raise awareness and boost its fund-raising efforts. He and Allan Zeman will also bring a little joy to 30 refugee children in Hong Kong who have been invited to visit Ocean Park on Thursday.

There's no significant news here really, we just thought this is a worthwhile cause. So, go pick up the cool T-shirt (as worn by Wong) or a UNHCR wristband at the five Pure locations around town this month.
