Celebrities get dolled up for charity

Local designer Prudence Mak of Chocolate Rain Jewellery and Design is keen to bring back the lost art of doll-making. To coincide with the release of her animated book, Dreaming, the artist has created numerous Fatina dolls (the character in her book) and taught several celebrities, including actress Karena Lam Kar-yan, model Eunis Chan Ka-yung and stylist Celia Wong Sze-lai, to do likewise.


If you are interested in learning, Mak will hold a doll-making demonstration tomorrow at 3pm in Times Square, where an exhibition of her designs and artwork is also being held. Alternately, if you want to own the dolls made by the celebrities, they will be sold for $880 each, with proceeds going to Oxfam.
