HK land transactions down in June
Updated at 6.38pm: Hong Kong?s total number of land transactions decreased in June, latest land registration statistics released on Tuesday showed.
Land Registry?s figures showed that sale and purchase agreements signed this month totalled 8,508. The unit sales and purchases fell 8.8 per cent from May.
June agreements totalled $24.6 billion. This was a drop of 26 per cent compared with the figures in May and was 35.2 per cent down compared with June 2005.
The number of home sales was 7,150, which declined 8.5 per cent by compared with last month, the figures showed.
The total value of residential units sold was $19.4 billion, down 16.9 per cent from May.
The statistics do not include sales under the Home Ownership Scheme, the Private Sector Participation Scheme and the Tenants Purchase Scheme.
