Fukien beat Winling 85-83 in overtime at a packed MacPherson Stadium last night to level the A1 Division League play-off final at two games each.

The final game in the best-of-five series will be held at the same venue on Saturday and another full house of 2,000 spectators is expected.

It could have been another story, though, had Winling held on to a two-point lead with just 15 seconds of regulation time remaining. Instead, Yung Kam-wah came to Fukien's rescue, netting a two-pointer to tie the score at 76-76 and taking the game into overtime.

Fukien, who dominated in the early stages, including a 13-point lead midway through the third quarter, also had forward Li Wai-lun to thank for their victory after he scored a seven straight points in overtime, including a three-pointer, to give side a 84-81 lead with 30 seconds remaining.

Li only joined Fukien from South China this season together with centre Choi Fong-yue.

Choi chipped in with 20 points, the best individual effort of the night.
