Police appeal for information on dead body found on Lantau
Updated at 6.09pm: Police on Friday were seeking information on a dead body found on Lantau earlier this week.
A spokesman said police had received a report about 6.30pm on Tuesday informing them a body was found drifting off Pui O Beach on Lantau.
It was later confirmed to be a woman aged about 20 to 40.
The spokesman said the deceased was 1.65 metres tall and of medium build.
?She was wearing a short-sleeved green T-shirt with a cartoon rabbit printed in front, a pair of blue jeans and a red string tied on her right foot for decoration when found,? he said.
A 10-yuan note and two silver rings were found on the woman, but no identity document was discovered.
Initial investigations revealed there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.
