Look out for our new health column in September

Your eating habits can determine whether you are healthy or not.

Many Hong Kong people like fast food, which has high cholesterol levels. This can lead to obesity and illnesses, such as heart disease and high blood pressure.

We should eat fewer snacks and more vegetables and fruit.

Some girls want to be thin so they take slimming pills. This is dangerous and can cause serious medical problems.

A balanced diet and exercise are the most effective ways to keep the body healthy.

Thanks for your letter, David, and it's good to hear that you are health conscious. You understand that a balanced diet and exercise are the keys to good health.

The Young Post is fortunate to have Wynnie Chan, a trained nutritionist, as our health reporter. She writes a health column in the Sunday Young Post, profiling a teen each week and discussing their diet. I think, David, that you'd find it really interesting.

Wynnie will begin a new health column in Young Post in September. It will be packed with interesting facts and quizzes so make sure that you don't miss it on Thursdays.
