Tsang's popularity rating drops in all categories

Chief Executive Donald Tsang Yam-kuen's popularity rating has fallen in all categories, with an average score of 3.25 points out of five for his overall performance. The figure represents a drop of 0.15 points compared with the same poll in June and equals the score from August last year, not long after he became chief executive. Of the 1,022 people polled by the Research Association of Hong Kong from August 9 to Tuesday, only 32 per cent rated his overall performance as satisfactory.

HK authority at shenzhen port to be reviewed

A resolution that would allow Hong Kong to exercise jurisdiction over the city's port area at Shenzhen Port will be examined by the National People's Congress Standing Committee later this month. The port, which includes immigration and custom facilities, is located at the landing point of the Shenzhen Western Corridor in Shekou. The corridor, which will become the fourth land border crossing, is expected to open before July next year.

Macau and HK leaders will head groups to hunan

Chief Executive Donald Tsang Yam-kuen and his counterpart from Macau, Edmund Ho Hau-wah, will lead business delegations to Hunan from September 26-28 for the first Central China Trade and Investment Exposition. It is estimated the expo, to be held in Changsha , is expected to attract about 20,000 investors from overseas.
