Make a list and get ready for the HKCEE

It is hard to imagine that I will be a Form Five student when the new academic year starts next month.

I can already feel the pressure as my parents are worried about how I will perform in the HKCEE next year.

The problem is I still can't manage my time properly. I also like to fool around when I am free.

However, God is fair, as he has given everyone 24 hours a day.

If we put in more effort now, we will achieve satisfying results.

Then we won't have any regrets later.

Thanks for your very honest letter, Peggy. Many students have problems with time management. But the good news is that it's not difficult to learn how to manage your time effectively - all it takes is a little organisation and some discipline.

The summer is the perfect time to start thinking about the year ahead and setting goals for yourself. You could begin by writing a list of all the subjects you will take in the HKCEE. Then think about how much time you plan to spend on your homework every day or week. And don't forget to factor in some fun time, too.

So what are you waiting for? Start making a list - and if you're having problems, e-mail me. I am the Queen of Lists and would love to help you out.
