Whirlwind Westwood

Our paper once lambasted the government for ignoring Britain's Victoria and Albert Museum's invitation to stage the retrospective of Vivienne Westwood in Hong Kong. No one knows what was on the Home Affairs Bureau's mind. The exhibition, however, toured Canberra, Bangkok, Taipei and Shanghai over the past year. The next stop will be the Mori Arts Centre in Tokyo.

Fortunately, the legendary designer (pictured) has not left us alone. It has been confirmed that she will make a whirlwind visit to Hong Kong in November for the opening of her shop.

On a second note, you may have heard that British designer Stella McCartney was due to visit Hong Kong to promote her autumn collection at Lane Crawford. However, don't get your hopes up as Lane Crawford has denied it.
