Memory Lane

The Hershey Company has commissioned celebrity jeweller Neil Lane to create a special Hershey's Kisses brooch to mark its centenary. The design features 755 diamonds totalling seven carats, and is valued at more than US$25,000. The brooch is being auctioned at clothesoffourback.org until September 15, and all proceeds will benefit children's charities.

Tis the season

IFC Mall is hosting the Fleur de Style Fashion Fiesta, a showcase of the new season's colours, styles and trends. The event begins with a gala show tomorrow, followed by seven individual brand shows, including Versace, Patrizia Pepe, Ferragamo, Kenzo and Loewe during coming weeks. So Kohl

Vera Wang (below) has announced plans to team up with US department store Kohl's to produce a fashion and lifestyle brand called Very Vera by Vera Wang. The collection will be available in Kohl's stores as well as at kohls.com, and will include sportswear, lingerie, jewellery, footwear, hand- bags and homeware.

Show time

Zowie Broach and Brian Kirkby, the design duo behind label Boudiccia, have decided to swap the catwalks of New York Fashion Week for Paris. They'll stage their first show in January, as part of the off-schedule calendar.

Bag of tricks

Luggage brand Tumi has announced plans to enter the women's fashion accessories market next spring. Malia Schooler, who designed handbags for Botkier, has been hired to oversee the collection. Tumi will launch three collections, featuring its signature nylon bags, leather satchels, wallets and hobos.

Chloe accessories

Although Chloe hasn't officially replaced designer Phoebe Philo, the French brand has recruited Emma Hill to over- see its accessories collection. Hill worked at GAP as vice-president of accessories design, and before that was a senior designer at Marc Jacobs. She will be based in London, and her first accessories collection is due out in autumn next year.

Cary on Cary Grant: A Celebration of Style, is a new book devoted to the fashion secrets of the late US actor. Written by Richard Torregrossa, it includes a detailed history of Grant's style, interviews with fashion luminaries, on- and off-set photos, as well as contributions from Giorgio Armani and Michael Kors. It will be released next month, but is available on pre-order from amazon.com for US$22.05.
