Georg Riedel will lead a so-called glass tasting with his company's wine glasses at the Hong Kong Jockey Club in Happy Valley (second floor of Member Stand 1) on September 14. California restaurant in Lan Kwai Fong is taking a food and wine tour of the Napa Valley throughout this month. Dishes include rock shrimp cocktail with grilled peach cocktail; venison chop with pink pepper oil, and grilled stone fruit in brioche. Guest chefs from the Shangri-La's Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa are cooking at Cafe Kool in the Kowloon Shangri-La in Tsim Sha Tsui until September 14. Guests can sample Middle Eastern dishes (left) such as tabbouleh, Arabic-style dried beef, roasted marinated chicken, braised lamb with basmati rice, and more. The lunch buffet is HK$198 plus 10 per cent (HK$138 for children) Monday to Friday, HK$218 (HK$188 for children) on Saturday, and HK$248 (HK$188 for children) on Sunday and public holidays. The dinner buffet is HK$348 (HK$218 for children) Monday to Thursday, HK$388 (HK$228 for children) on Friday, Sunday and public holidays, while on Saturday the early buffet (5.45pm-8.15pm) is HK$388 (HK$228 for children) and HK$368 (HK$228 for children) from 8.45pm-11pm.
