Jason Yeung Chun, 16, struts his regal stuff on the stage moments before his vain emperor discovers his new birthday suit is really a ruse to leave him looking foolish in the pink.
He was one of two groups of Form Five students at Elegantia College performing a comic production of The Emperor's New Clothes for their grade three Trinity Guildhall musical theatre exam.
'We decided to play the two emperors differently,' Jason said. 'I thought he should be very manly but the other group made theirs a cissy.'
Trinity examiner Freny Bharucha said fun was the most important element she was looking for. 'That they have,' she said. 'If they are having fun on the stage then the energy flows out to the audience.'
So did they pass? 'Oh, I am not allowed to comment,' she said. 'But it went well.'
