Printing worker severely injures hand in work accident

A printing worker had his hand seriously damaged in an accident with a paper-cutting machine at his Chai Wan factory on Tuesday.


The blade sliced through the man?s right wrist while he was operating the machine about 8.20am on Tuesday, the Ming Pao Daily reported.


The wound was so severe his hand was nearly ripped off. The worker also bled badly, the Ming Pao Daily reported.


He was rushed to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital.


It was not immediately clear what condition the man was in on Tuesday morning.


He worked at a printing factory in Lee Chung Street in Chai Wan.
