To celebrate the opening of its third local store, Italian luxury brand Loro Piana hosted an Around the Island yacht race. Before the big day, its owners Pier Luigi and Sergio Loro Piana also held a cocktail and dinner party at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club on November 17.

A cross-section of Hong Kong luminaries attended the event which previewed the line's spring/summer 2007 collections for men, women and accessories on sale at the new Pacific Place store.

Guests for the pre-event party included socialites Wendy Puyat Hotung, Helen Rong Giacotto, Joyce Cheung as well as businessman Daniela Benenati and his wife Andrea, and members of the Loro Piana family. Pier Luigi, a passionate sailor, took part in the regatta at the helm of a 70-foot yacht.
