Employment conditions of the merged rail company
No reduction in basic salary and allowances for serving staff
No change in medical and retirement benefits for serving staff
Free transportation on the merged network for spouses and children, but such benefits will not be extended to parents, as now enjoyed by KCR staff on the KCR network
Overtime allowance for existing MTR staff will be raised to 1.35 times the hourly salary to keep in line with KCR staff
Weekly working hours aligned to 42 hours or 39 hours a week, depending on job category
Overnight shift allowance for incumbent KCR staff reduced to 35 per cent of hourly salary to keep in line with MTR staff
