Alex Fong Lik-sun seems to have a bright year ahead. His status at record company Gold Label Entertainment is on the rise - along with that of singer Stephy Tang Lai-yan - after Miriam Yeung Chin-wah's contract expired.

With a number of albums and film projects under way, the former competitive swimmer is eager to be the first to play the renovated Hong Kong Coliseum in 2008. 'It's the symbol of being a successful singer,' said Fong (left). 'It's been my dream to hold my first concert there.'

However, he said he would leave the matter to his record company. 'I'll keep waiting - no matter how long it takes,' he said.

Fong and Tang have been rumoured to be an item. Recently, Fong was photographed with another woman at a family gathering, reportedly reducing Tang to tears.

'That's an exaggeration,' Fong said. 'The girl is my former team mate. Stephy and I still have a good working relationship. The reports haven't affected our relationship one bit,' he added.
