You would think an 'artist' like Joey Yung Cho-yee would know what intellectual property infringement means. The Emperor Group star showed up at Commercial Radio's annual music awards on Monday wearing a very eye-catching tutu dress (left). It was so attention-grabbing, it was noticed by staff at Joyce Boutique, which handles the Dutch design duo Viktor & Rolf. It turns out the dress is a copy of something from its latest summer 2007 collection (below), which is not even available in Hong Kong yet. When asked later, Yung admitted to the local media she asked a local designer to make the dress based on a picture taken from an overseas fashion show.

For its part, Joyce Boutique seems to be taking the controversy in its stride. 'We're all aware of it,' a store rep said. 'It's not an original piece [Yung is wearing]. We haven't heard what we might do. A lot of our management are still on holiday so I'm not sure if there will be any action.'
