Why do we love chocolate?

Humans are born liking sweet tastes. This, combined with the aroma and texture of fat, makes chocolate highly desirable and palatable.

And there's good news for chocolate lovers everywhere: we have a biological excuse for craving chocolate. It contains substances which put us in a better mood and make us feel good.

Moreover, chocolate contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds, which help fight off certain diseases like cancer and rheumatoid arthritis.
