Master of Science in Computer Science MSc(CompSc), The University of Hong Kong

Coursework programme which trains in data engineering, software engineering, computer systems, biocomputing, human-computer interaction and foundations of computer science. Training in scientific foundation and IT principles including advanced database transaction systems, data mining, analysis and design of enterprise applications in UML, software quality assurance, computer and network security, embedded system and pervasive computing, high-performance computing, the wireless internet and mobile computing, cluster and grid computing, computer technologies for bioinformatics, computational molecular biology, image processing and computer vision and multimedia technologies. Requirements bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent and may satisfy the examiners in a qualifying examination if required. Cost HK$80,400 in total. The composition fee for each course is HK$6,700 (subject to change). If a student wishes to study a course from the MSc (ECom & IComp) programme it will cost HK$10,800 per course, increasing the cost of the programme accordingly. Aid CEF. Requirements bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields, at least second class honours, or an average grade of B or better in undergraduate courses; or completed a tertiary course and having obtained professional qualifications equivalent to an honours degree; or graduated with a first degree in other fields and have extensive computer-related experience.
