Best feet forward for Nike shindig

Central Star Ferry's Pier 7 was given over to a hip hop jam for one of the town's coolest events on January 6: celebrating 25 years of Nike's popular Air Force 1 model. Besides an exhibition area displaying the basketball shoe designs over the years, a stage was set up for DJs and performers from cities such as New York and Tokyo.

Master of ceremonies Wyman Wong Wai-man introduced DJ Bobbito Garcia, who ran the turntables, along with Japanese hip hop performer Katsu and Hong Kong's DJ Tommy.

Also in tow were New York street-culture designers Futura and Stash, and Japan's Hiroshi Fujiwara. Among the locals chilling out were Edison Chen Koon-hei, Sam Lee Chan-sum and Candy Lo Hau-yam.
