Dusk sets on health centre ... but new day may yet dawn

Zama means 'the dawn of a new day' in Mayan, but the two founders of the Central health and healing centre of that name have decided it is dusk for them. Michelle Tanmizi and Jennifer Walker are both leaving Hong Kong.

Naturopathic healer Walker (right) is going into semi-retirement. 'I'm going back to the UK,' she said. 'We decided at the end of last year both of us were ready to make changes.'

Meanwhile, Tanmizi (who is a Latin music DJ on the side) has found herself a soul mate. 'The final months of 2006 brought a very special man into my life, which means I, too, will most likely be moving abroad to be with him,' she wrote in Zama's newsletter. 'Our intended last day of business is March 31.'

However, that doesn't necessarily mean the centre, which opened in 2003, has to close. They're willing to talk to anyone who is interested in taking over. Call 2850 6400 if you're serious. For now, the sale of their stock continues.
