Who would you want to be stuck in a lift with?

Alistair Cameron, 18

I would say a lift repair man, but I guess we wouldn't be stuck for very long, so that defeats the purpose of the question. So, I'd like to be stuck in a lift with George W Bush, a monkey and a game of Scrabble. I'd like to prove that a monkey would easily beat Dubya in a mentally challenging game. And since watching George W spell words like 'cat', and 'Iraq' would be really boring, the only way I'd be forced to watch this would be if I were stuck in a lift. I guess this means I really don't want to be stuck in a lift. And I really don't ever want to spend time with Bush.

Someone who is interesting, and preferably not claustrophobic! Maybe Christiane Amanpour, the foreign correspondent for CNN. As a famous and successful journalist, she would be able to make intelligent conversation. Being used to reporting from war zones, she would probably not get hysterical when she realised we were stuck in a lift, but keep calm, call for help or even escape, aided only by her Swiss Army knife.

Katharine Biddle, 14

It would be amazing to be stuck in a lift with Shirley Temple. She started acting at such a young age, and was an amazing tap dancer. I think she was the most remarkable child star ever. She even won a special Oscar at the age of seven, the youngest person ever to receive one. I would love to ask her about her life and her acting career. She met so many famous people, including Walt Disney. She has a drink named after her, and she inspired the character Bonny Blue Butler in Gone with the Wind.
