Find out all about the Lunar New Year

Lunar New Year is just around the corner. It is our major festival everyone enjoys it.

Although there are only three days of public holiday, we can celebrate in many ways.

My favourite thing to do is go to Victoria Harbour to see the fireworks. They usually take place on the second day of Lunar New Year. The fireworks are wonderful and I'm always excited to see them.

Lunar New Year is a joyful festival, and I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday.

But we shouldn't forget about safety. We must be careful and avoid going to crowded places.

SAMANTHA

Thanks for your letter, Samantha. I too love Lunar New Year, it's one of my favourite festivals. As I'm sure you know, the Young Post is published through the holidays. We've got plenty of exciting new content, plus lots of special Lunar New Year stories. This Saturday, we're running a front page story about the fireworks - including the best spots to watch them from.

And if you want to find out what the Year of the Pig holds for you, don't miss Friday's front page story. Plus, we've got an interview with a young woman who has a pet pig, and film critic Lau Kit-wai will give you a rundown of the holiday movies.
