In our society, some people are very successful while others achieve little. How can we have two such different types of people? In fact, they are equal.

Everyone has 24 hours each day - we are all in a race against time. If you want to be successful, you must manage your time well. Don't spend so much time playing online games, watching TV, wandering around shopping malls, or chatting on the phone, ICQ or MSN.

No matter who you are, you can be successful. It depends on your determination. Don't be jealous of others, as you can also achieve great things.

Christian Alliance S.C. Chan Memorial College Thanks for your letter, Sin-ping. Learning to manage your time well is a very valuable skill. We've all got the same number of hours in a day - it's all down to how you use those hours.

Good time management doesn't mean cramming as much work into a day as is humanly possible. Time management is about setting priorities and then creating a schedule that allows you to move towards your goal. If your current goal is your HKCEE, then you will want to put the bulk of your time towards revising the various subjects. But it's also important to schedule in some breaks and time for exercise.

Look out for Jaime Simpson's Free To Be Me column, which will begin after the Easter holidays and will address time management.
