Oasis of calm
An Oasis Hong Kong executive photographs two check-in staffers yesterday at Chek Lap Kok's new Terminal 2.
Budget airline Oasis Hong Kong would be among the first carriers operating at the new passenger terminal, or T2, next month, the Airport Authority said.
T2 is an extension of the existing passenger terminal. It features 56 check-in counters, 110 shops and 20 restaurants.
Chek Lap Kok handled a record 44.45 million passengers last year, 9.1 per cent more than in 2005. The volume is expected to grow by another 10 million in five years.
Hong Kong was the fifth-busiest airport in the world for international passenger traffic in 2005, following London, Paris, Frankfurt and Amsterdam.
