A dozen secondary students were yesterday picked as juvenile ambassadors to New Zealand.

Form Seven student Elisa Chan Wing-yu from Maryknoll Convent School and Form Five student Winnie Lee Wing-yee from St Paul's Secondary School will each lead a team of five on an 'eco-tour' of New Zealand.

Elisa's group of over-18s will spend six weeks in the country between May and June, visiting major tourist attractions and taking part in educational activities. Winnie's group, aged 14 to 17, will go on a shorter three-week trip.

The programme is organised by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise in conjunction with the Education and Manpower Bureau, and sponsored by Pearson Education Asia, Longman Hong Kong Education and Wing On Travel.
