Sombre vigil for former KCRC chief

Friends and relatives attend the Hong Kong Funeral Home in North Point yesterday to pay their last respects to the late Yeung Kai-yin, the former civil servant and Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation chief who died of legionnaire's disease on February 8, aged 65. One of the first to arrive was businessman Li Ka-shing. Other former colleagues and friends to attend included Chief Secretary Rafael Hui Si-yan, Financial Secretary Henry Tang Ying-yen, InvestHK director-general Mike Rowse and former KCRC chief executive Samuel Lai Man-hay. A funeral service will be held at 10am today before Yeung is cremated at Cape Collision.
