Al Gore, a leading voice in the fight against global warming, is being called a hypocrite by a conservative group that claims his Nashville mansion uses too much electricity.

A spokeswoman for Mr Gore said the former vice-president invests in enough renewable energy to make up for the home's power consumption.

The coroner had to repeat a warning to the media yesterday not to take photos of the jury after photographs were taken through the window of a bus taking him, lawyers, police and the five-person jury to the scene of Leung Shing-yan's death.

Coroner Michael Chan Pik-kiu warned the media that they could not photograph the jury or else the jurors would have to be dismissed. Reporters could face contempt of court if they breached the order. (SCMP, February 28, 2007)

'Contempt of court' means certain behaviour that disrupts or opposes the proceedings or power of a court. This is a criminal act and the reporters could be charged.
