THE TESTIMONY

Bank customers and workers at the Hang Seng Bank Belvedere Gardens branch told how the masked robber netted more than HK$500,000 in a minute and 17 seconds. Customers said the robber fired three shots at security guard Zafar Iqbal Khan, with the last shot fired into his head. The robber's gun looked like a police service revolver.

Customer Lui Kwok-hoo, 60, saw the robber fire a short-range shot into the head of Khan, who had already been hit by two shots, when Khan pointed his shotgun at the robber. 'The robber was holding a gun like a revolver, like a police service revolver.'

Constable Chan Tse-wing said he noticed Khan had three wounds, one in the head, one above the navel and a laceration on his left wrist. 'When Khan's clothes were cut off by the medical officers, a bullet head dropped out from his waist.'
