Coroner's officer Arthur Luk Yee-shun presented a still photo from a home video showing a man wearing Mizuno sports shoes resembling those worn by the robber of the Belvedere Garden branch of Hang Seng Bank on December 5, 2001.
Mizuno expert Pang Wai-hung, 34, said all 130 pairs of size 27.5 Next Alpha shoes in the city had sold out.
Ex-ballistics officer Andy Choi Wai-yee said the rifling marks on the bullets that killed Zafar Iqbal Khan in the bank robbery were the same as those found on the bullets that killed constable Leung Shing-yan in March 2001.
Pathologist Lau Ming-fai said the two shots to Khan's abdomen failed to incapacitate him, meaning he was able to raise his shotgun in an attempt to shoot the robber. But he was then fatally shot by the robber - 'Khan was killed by the gunshot wound in his head'.
The court will see closed-circuit TV recordings of the robbery and several home videos police officers obtained from a house search. The home videos have been edited into a single video lasting more than 10 minutes. The court will hear evidence on the source of the home videos and the identity of a person seen wearing Mizuno shoes.
Witnesses: Mizuno expert Pang Wai-hung; five or six police on the seizure of exhibits, including the home videos.
