Perhaps it's Starbucks' chairman Howard Schultz's way of thanking everyone for putting him on the recent Forbes billionaire list, but the coffee chain is offering a free cup of fresh brew for all its customers tomorrow from 10am to noon. As part of its Coffee Break in Hong Kong campaign, all 70 stores here and in Macau will treat customers to a complimentary tall (12 ounce) cup of the java of the day - the flavour listed on the chalkboard. The only exceptions are outlets in the MTR and Airport Express stations.

'It's part of a global campaign to thank all our loyal customers and to introduce our coffee to new customers,' explained a PR rep.

We know the joints will be jumping. We just wonder whether the lines on Friday morning will be as long as the ones for the Madonna sunglasses giveaway last week.
