Homegrown designer Johanna Ho's Dream Circus spring collection is a whimsical mix of old and new, hard and soft, masculine and feminine. Ho was inspired by traditional circus figures, such as clowns and lion tamers, and the acrobats and dancers from modern shows such as Cirque du Soleil. She used airy fabrics - cotton voiles, netting and tulle - contrasted with stiffer materials such as pinstriped men's suit fabrics and safari cottons. Ho says her palette was influenced by the works of Claude Monet and George Seurat and standouts include a cape (HK$1,990) and matching vest (HK$1,590) in pale pink, blush and nude knit. Another top pick is the buttoned knit vest with tassel details (above; HK$2,290). Her collection is available exclusively at D-Mop, On Lan Street, Central, tel: 2840 0822.
