THE life of a jet-hopping hotel executive is not without its awkward moments - as one of that ilk can testify.

On a flight from Hong Kong to a regional destination, and settling into his perch in the First Class cabin, the pangs of discomfiture must have been overpowering as he looked down the aircraft to observe the wife of the billionaire owner of his hotel group taking her place in Business Class.

We can but presume that being a perfect gentleman he readily offered to swap his seat for hers. And knowing her for the gracious lady that she is, she declined.

Why, she even smiled sweetly as the stewardess held the rest of the passengers, including her good self, at bay when the plane reached its destination, so that First Class passengers could alight pronto, as is their privilege.
