Glitch leaves fans without tickets
Hong Kong International Film Festival organisers have received more than 100 complaints about problems with an online ticket purchase system launched this year.
Artistic director Li Cheuk-to admitted yesterday there had been faults in the automated system and apologised, promising compensation for those affected.
One of the disgruntled clients who gave her name as Ms Chan said she was still waiting for tickets to a film that had already been screened. 'I did not get any confirmation number or e-mail after I had input all my credit card information, and I wasn't sure if the tickets were purchased or not.'
She called the credit card centre later to verify her transaction and finally received a confirmation e-mail from the festival that night, but the tickets were not delivered in time. Ms Chan said she would line up at the box office next time.
