OK, we admit we're moving the goalposts here because we can't see too much negativity in pride at the Sevens. If we bend the definition to include 'a strong sense of self-respect, a refusal to be humiliated and a joy in the accomplishments of oneself or a person, group or object that one identifies with' then what you have is the description of every player's honour in wearing a national jersey. But perhaps the proudest souls are the little ones, the mini-rugby players who swell up as they take the field in front of thousands of fans.
