A man who helped organise the attempted shipment of almost 5kg of Ice to Guam was yesterday sentenced to 25 years in jail. Mak Wing-cheung, 31, was on Thursday found guilty by a jury in the Court of First Instance of conspiring to traffic 4.7kg of methamphetamine, or Ice, to Guam in August 2002. Police ambushed two couriers as they made their way to the airport with the drugs strapped to their bodies. Mr Justice Michael McMahon said it was plain from the evidence before the court that Mak had been relatively high up in the syndicate behind the operation.
