The great outdoors ... and pesky mosquitoes

We've often wondered why people don't take advantage of the lush, green surroundings of the L16 Restaurant in Hong Kong Park for their events. Well, someone finally did.
The Marc Jacobs folks rented the romantic space for an outdoor spring-summer fashion show last Thursday. As expected from the talented designer, the fineries were fine and the dresses dressy. The event was hot in more ways than one, however. An unusually humid spring evening meant you got sweaty just sitting outdoors, and the women in miniskirts had to deal with snapping mozzies as much as the paparazzi. Well, now we know why more companies don't use the tempting venue - the elements make it just too risky a proposition.
