Name: Tiffany Chan Tsz-ching

School: Diocesan Girls' School

Grade: Form One

Sport: Golf

Achievements: Tiffany, 13, has been taking part in Hong Kong Junior Open events since 2003, taking home gold in the first two years.

In October last year, she played at the AGM Amateur Golf Open in Sai Kung.

This year, Tiffany will be taking part in the Asia Pacific

Open Amateur Championship. She also took part in 2005 in Korea.

She will be battling it out at the Hong Kong Ladies Close, where she hopes to come in the top four.

Soundbite: 'I've been playing golf for six years. 'My dad took me to play and I've loved it ever since. I like the sense of accomplishment when I do well,' Tiffany said.

'I've been training harder these days - about two to three times a week. On Saturdays, I train at a golf course in Shek O.'

From her coach: 'Tiffany is a tough competitor. She wants to compete; she wants to win.

'She needs to get a little more size and strength, but she's got the attitude,' said coach Brad Schadewitz.

'She's still pretty young, but she is already the top five ladies players at 13.

'If she stays on the same track and continues to enjoy the game, she'll be one of the top lady players in Hong Kong.'

Ambitions: 'I want to take part in the Faldo Series Asia one day,' Tiffany said.
