How to take your pet bunny to new heights

How much hop does your bunny have? No, that's not a sexual euphemism. It's what organisers at Sha Tin's New Town Plaza III are really asking.

For Easter, they've brought over two Danish professional rabbit-hopping trainers with some of their world-class carrot-eating jumpers. It seems rabbit-hopping is quite a sport in Europe with more than 4,000 owners in competitions. The world record for a jump is one metre in height and three metres in distance.

While here, the mother-and-son team of Aase and Rasmus Bjerner will hold auditions for owners who want to train their pets. Those that pass will be able to join a free three-day masterclass and take part in the hopping finals on Sunday. If you think the sky's the limit for your Bugs Bunny, auditions are tomorrow at 2pm. Interested rabbits must pre-register by calling 2811 4903. On Saturday afternoon at the Sha Tin mall, the Danish pros will even do a jumping demonstration.
