Drive-by bag-snatching - once prevalent in Shenzhen - happened in Hong Kong early yesterday when a woman was robbed by two people on a motorcycle as she waited for a bus in Mong Kok.
The victim, surnamed Law, 28, was dragged along the road and her face and right arm were slightly injured during the incident at 1am.
She was taken to Kwong Wah Hospital in Yau Ma Tei and discharged after receiving treatment.
The robbers grabbed her handbag, containing a wallet, identity card, credit cards and HK$200.
Police said the woman was waiting at a bus stop in Nathan Road outside Allied Plaza, near Prince Edward Road West, when the motorcycle passenger grabbed her handbag.
Both men were wearing helmets and rode off towards Nullah Road, police said. The woman was unable to give police the motorcycle's plate number.
