Officina de' Tornabuoni

What is it?

A beauty range from Italy, newly released in Hong Kong. Officina de' Tornabuoni, however, has a long history. In 1843, Englishman Henry Roberts opened a Florentine apothecary on Via Tornabuoni. It was there that the first formulations of the company's products were created, using local plants and regional botanicals. The company says its products have been used for centuries by noble Italian families.

What's the spin?

Officina de' Tornabuoni says it focuses on a natural approach to skin care and general well-being, using formulas made from root extract of Iris pallida and other wild Tuscan plants, enriched with pure plant oils. 'The skin is, for us, the direct expression of our physical and emotional state,' the company says. 'For this reason, the cosmetic line of Officina De' Tornabuoni doesn't consist of subdivisions of products into specific lines according to skin types. Instead, we created preparations capable of restoring harmony and beauty to any skin type.' It also offers internal remedies to improve general well-being.

What do the products do?

The company says its Linea Iris natural remedies for oral consumption are intended to relieve symptoms of bodily imbalances and will be available in Hong Kong later this year.
