All the right moves on opening night

The opening night of Hong Kong Ballet's Romeo and Juliet was celebrated with a cocktail party hosted by new board member John Ying at the Shatin Town Hall Auditorium last month.

Ying praised the work of artistic director John Meehan and visiting Dutch choreographer Rudi van Dantzig's work. More than 100 dignitaries from the arts and government turned up for the event.

Also there were Zhang Yan-jun, the mainland director general of culture and sports, conductor Yip Wing-Sze, Daphne King Yao, Deirdre Fu Tcheng, Leung Nai-kong, former board chairman Anna Pao Sohmen and artist Marsha Yuan Chi-wei.
