If you would like to go on a safari trip to South Africa, here's your chance.

Applications for the Cathay Pacific International Wilderness Experience (IWE) 2007 are now open.

More than 50 delegates aged 16 to 18 from South Africa and 10 Asia Pacific Rim countries will be able to learn more about man's impact on the environment through the journey.

The programme, co-organised by Cathay Pacific and The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG), will be held from July 10 to 18 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The delegates, guided by a team of educational officers, will take part in a range of activities, including hikes, camping trips and wildlife observation.

The trip will also include mock weddings. Participants from different cultural backgrounds will stage traditional wedding ceremonies.

Delegates will also give cultural performances and take part in an open debate on environmental problems in their region.

The application deadline is May 8. For more information and online applications, visit www.cathaypacific.com/iwe, or ye.hkfyg.org.hk/ or www.u21.hk
