A year after Alessi reclassified its products under three brands, A di Alessi has come out with a spring/summer collection that underscores why it is the most accessible (read affordable) of the trio. Its Nuvem (Portuguese for 'cloud') family of aluminium-wire baskets (below left; HK$210 to HK$790), mats (HK$350) and vases (HK$410), which comes in blue, gold and natural aluminium, promotes the use of recycled materials while preserving an artisanal look. Also from the A di Alessi brand is the Chin Family, designed by Stefano Giovannoni and Rumiko Takeda in collaboration with the National Palace Museum, Taiwan. The hand-decorated range includes a Mr and Mrs Chin salt and pepper set (below right; HK$420) and a Mr Chin egg cup (HK$230).
