A 24-year-old driver was charged last night with dangerous driving causing death after his delivery truck allegedly ran a red light and killed a woman at a pedestrian crossing in Mong Kok at 11.15am. Cheung Tim-chu, 44, was crossing Prince Edward Road West near the junction with Yuen Ngai Street. Cheung was taken unconscious with head injuries to Kwong Wah Hospital and was certified dead at 2.34pm. The truck was towed to a government garage for examination. The driver will appear in Kowloon City Court today.
