The report, 'Guides drop strike threat after pay deal' on page 5 of the Sunday Morning Post on April 29 reported James Tien Pei-chun, chairman of the Hong Kong Tourism Board, had said its former executive director, Clara Chong Ming-wah, received HK$360,000 in discretionary performance pay last year whereas the board's annual report said her bonus was HK$589,000. The latter figure was in fact paid to Ms Chong for the 2004-05 financial year though only reported in the 2005-06 annual report. She also received discretionary performance pay of HK$589,000 in the 2005-06 financial year, and received discretionary performance pay of HK$369,000 in the 2006-07 financial year.
