Olympian effort

Want to upgrade from point-and-shoot digital photography? Then consider Olympus' new E-410 digital single-lens reflex camera, with features designed to please both serious photographers and novice users. Olympus touts the E-410 as 'the smallest, slimmest, lightest interchangeable lens digital SLR camera in the world today'. It measures 129.5mm x 91mm x 53mm and weighs 375 grams (without lens). Its 10-megapixel sensor generates high-resolution images that can be cropped or blown up to poster size without sacrificing quality. A bright, 2.5-inch liquid-crystal display adjusts through 176 degrees, allowing pictures to be taken from angles that would be too tight for the optical viewfinders found on other digital SLR cameras. Olympus has also included a dust reduction system, so users can spend more time taking pictures and less time removing unsightly specks from images with computer software.

The Olympus E-410 digital SLR camera is priced at HK$5,980, with a one-year worldwide warranty.
