Transparency urged on flat sales

Representatives of developers and surveyors, housing officials and the Consumer Council have agreed there should be more transparency and clarity about flats' saleable area in the information provided to potential buyers. The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors said sales brochures should be standardised by using saleable area instead of gross floor area in descriptions of properties.
