Lieutenant-General Wang Jitang inspects more than 200 new constables and probationary inspectors in a passing-out parade yesterday at the Wong Chuk Hang Police College. The commander of the People's Liberation Army Hong Kong Garrison, who was conducting the first such inspection, said while officiating the ceremony that the garrison had established close co-operation and friendly ties with the police since the PLA arrived in Hong Kong in 1997.
