Creative type wanted to drive Yahoo's growth

Yahoo

Here is a chance to help build the next phase of an internet giant's products and services.

Established in 1999, Yahoo Hong Kong is a fast-growing, well-recognised name in internet browsing.

The company has an opening for a head of product management to lead a team of two to three people with more than 15 product managers in building and executing core product initiatives and managing product operations.

'This role is important to Yahoo because the appointee will be driving the product road map for the business unit's cross-functional teams,' said Catherine Fong Kit-ling, senior human resource manager for the company with roughly 200 staff in Hong Kong.

The incumbent will collaborate with internal Yahoo departments, and occasionally vendors, to develop product concepts, define requirements, and prioritise initiatives based on market dynamics.

The best person for the job has a minimum of 12 years of experience, including at least five years as a senior product manager or above, in the technology industry. That experience should show a strong ability to deliver and enhance products of the highest quality.

A deep understanding of online user needs and a desire to keep abreast of internet trends is essential.

'Risk takers with an innovative and creative mindset, and a strong determination to succeed, would enjoy working with us,' Ms Fong said.

Promotion will be based on performance and business needs.
